Open Two-Day Seminar on Non-Verbal Communication
Human relations are at the heart of the Open Zoom Seminar that the European Communication Institute (ECI) organizes in the context of its Master in Communication and Emerging Technologies, as well as the promotion of the direction M.A. HCNT (Ηumanistic Communication and New Technologies).
A certificate of attendance will be provided to those who attend the entire Seminar.

Dr. Georgios Fountoulakis (prof. ECI EDIP NKUA, Postdoctoral researcher) will attempt to introduce participants to the concept of communication, so they can understand the value of verbal and non-verbal communication and its dynamics in the various aspects of their daily lives. Through presentation and fruitful dialogue, they will practice and improve their communication skills, while they acquire skills to analyze the value of body language.
Emphasis will be placed on human communication in the workplace, but also on the personal level (interpersonal communication).
Theories of psychology and philosophy will be utilized, focusing on the importance of body language in interpersonal and professional relationships.
Specific topics:
- Postures and movements of the body in relation to the emotions and personality of the individual.
- Deciphering personal expressions / uniqueness of every human being.
- Features of cognitive psychology and neuropsychology of the mind.
- Nonverbal behavior of patients with mental disorders.
The two meetings via Zoom platform will take place on Sunday morning (10:00 – 12:30) on May 28 and July 2, 2023 (reminder emails will be sent to participants).
