Dr. Charalambos Tsekeris

Director of Studies at ECI and Head of the Specialization “Psychology and Social Networks”

 

Charalambos Tsekeris was born in Athens and studied Social Sciences at Brunel University in London and at Panteion University, where he received his PhD. He is a Researcher at the National Center for Social Research (EKKE) on “Internet Sociology”, Professor Extraordinary of the School of Public Leadership of Stellenbosch University and Research Associate of the Research Center of Greek Society of the Academy of Athens.

 

He is also an Associate of the Anti-Corruption Centre for Education and Research (ACCERUS) at Stellenbosch University, as well as of the Laboratory of Potential Reality, Online Research and Electronic Education of Panteion University. He has been a professor in university faculties (in Greece and abroad), he has directed research programs, while his internationally acclaimed writing work (100 academic papers, three books of Routledge publications and one book published by the Academy of Athens) gathers hundreds of citations.

 

He is a President of the Greek Forum for the Digital Future, Member of the Scientific Council of the Dialogue Community “Synthesis”, and Coordinator of the World Internet Project-Greece. It focuses on communication and democracy within Globalization 4.0 and non-linear complex human systems. He is the Coordinator of the Greek Team of the World Internet Project (WIP).
