Maria Karaklioumi

Maria Karaklioumi was born in Athens in 1974. She studied Statistics, Mathematics, Economics and Political Science in Greece and abroad. She has worked in the field of education, research and communication. She has served as Deputy Spokesperson, head of the press office and Secretary of the Press and Media Sector of PASOK. In the period 2011-2014 she was Deputy Regional Governor of Attica. She is a co-founder of the “Women – Act” NGO, which encourages women’s participation in the public sphere. She currently works as a political analyst at the polling company RASS.
