On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Melina Mercouri Cultural Center, a topical artistic event on Womanhood and Creation begins, which will last until July 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The project concerns the presentation of a group art exhibition of contemporary art, with the participation of women artists from different nationalities, which explores femininity and its various manifestations. \"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The project is implemented by the curators of the artistic group <\/span>Axionart,<\/b> in collaboration with the <\/span>Institute of Mediterranean Culture <\/b>and the <\/span>Video art Festival Miden<\/b>. <\/span> <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The exhibition is under the auspices of ECI – European Communication Institute and is supported by the Municipality of Athens O.P.A.N.D.A.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The focus is on femininity and how it is experienced \/ expressed artistically through symbols and roles, in a modern and rapidly changing world with ancient origins.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Women from different countries and cultures approach the subject with paintings, photography, video installations, exploring the stereotypical performances of the female gender. They attempt to send a strong message of freedom in relation to identity, sexuality, politics and history, they explore the symbolization of women, as it emerges from their various roles, with critical mood, humor and self-sarcasm.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The artists of the exhibition “What about Eve?” are invited to depict, through their works, the female form and substance in multiple forms and perceptions, opening dialogues around social issues and stereotypes, proposing the power of femininity.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The group’s ambition is to present a broad perspective on the contemporary creation of women artists, posing questions but also challenging the viewer to participate in readings and reflections on female dynamics in society and art.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The report is international in nature. Their artistic point of view will be shared with us by women from: Greece, USA, Cyprus, Latvia, Italy, Finland, Estonia, Germany and Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n
