A Different Weekend at ECI
This weekend, 27 & 28 May 2023, we combine courses offered as part of the Citizen Literacy Program with those our students attend as part of their master’s degrees.
On Saturday 27 May, at 10:00, Artificial Intelligence with the duo Tsekeris – Cambourakis (more below).
At 15:00, Mr. Daniilidis presents from the other side of the planet (more info below)
On Sunday 28 May, at 10:00: Seminar with Dr. G. Fountoulakis (first of two) on Body Language.
At 15:00, the 3rd Meeting of the European Direction takes place, with Mr. Sp. Capralos.
We remind you that:
Saturday morning: The Tsekeris/Kambourakis duo explores the political economy of Artificial Intelligence, with emphasis on the dimensions of gig work, digital ethics and strategic foresight.
Saturday afternoon: The discussion on Intercultural Dialogue and Public Diplomacy continues, live from Latin America, with ECI Cultural Management & Cultural Diplomacy, by Mr. Deni Daniilidis and his distinguished guests.
Conversing with him this time: Archbishop Metropolitan Chrysostom (Celi), born in the city of Loja, Ecuador.
He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Navarre in Spain, studied Theology in Rome and Orthodox Theology in Paris. He is a graduate of Rome’s Sapienza University in art conservation and holds a doctorate in philology and literature from the University of Loja, Ecuador. He is the author of 14 books. He has participated in international meetings in 56 countries like the USA, Korea, Greece, Romania, France as an expert on religious freedom and human rights. He is president of CONALIR, Ecuador’s National Commission for Religious Freedom. He is the main force behind the Orthodox Center of Quito, Ecuador. His dream is to found the first Orthodox monastery in Latin America and the Latin American Orthodox Church.
Kostas Palamidis is a theatre director, composer, musician and actor who lives between Greece and Venezuela. He is the co-founder of the Stage of the National Theatre of Venezuela and has participated in many festivals in many countries. He was invited to Azerbaijan by the European Union for theatre performances, concerts and presentations of his two cultural identities. He will talk about his dual identity as an artist and the challenges of intercultural dialogue.
Finally, via video, Alina Polyakova, editorial director of the English-language edition of Ukraine’s first independent news portal “Ukrainska Pravda”. She is constantly covering the war in her country, describes the current state of journalism in Ukraine and tells us the story of Ukrainska Pravda.
Sunday Morning: Dr. C. Dr. Fountoulakis implements the first of the two meetings in relation to Non Verbal Communication.

Sunday Afternoon: Mr. Sp. Dr. Capralos, Head of the Master of Arts (ICEI) (Institutions Communication and European Integration), will thoroughly analyze how traditional management theories can be adapted to the needs of political communication, while highlighting the achievements brought about by the convergence of science with applied policy.
In addition, in the wake of the recent national elections in Greece, he will highlight the role of social media in political campaigns, emphasizing unique tools of innovation in politics.
