ACA International Conference – Cooperation with AHEPA
A press conference and the solemn signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with AHEPA were organized by the educational, public benefit and intervention organization Athens Calls Athens (ACA), at the Cultural Center ‘Kostis Palamas’ of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The signing of a partnership with the globally influential organization of expatriates comes shortly after the signing of the corresponding memorandum with the European Institute of Communication, at a time when ACA is preparing its third international conference entitled: “Man and his Creations, a Perpetual Metamorphosis”, scheduled for November 2024.
The MoU was signed on behalf of ACA by its president, Dott. Mr. George Psathas, while on behalf of AHEPA HELLAS District 25, by its Governor, Mr. Christos Karapiperis.
The event was greeted and honored with the presence of His All-Holiness Archimandrite Prof. Fr. Aristarchos Vasilios Grekas (European Communication Institute, NKUA), the President Regional Council of Attica Mr. George Dimopoulos, the Vice-Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Prof. Mr. Efstathios Efstathopoulos, the Professor of Geopolitics and Modern Military Technologies Dr. Konstantinos Grivas, the Vice-President Deputy Governor of TZANIO General Hospital of Piraeus Mr. Stylianos Geronimakis, the Governor of AHEPA HELLAS District 25 Mr. Christos Karapiperis and the entire Board of Directors of District 25, the President of the AHEPA Maritime Chapter “Saint Nicholas” cpt Dimitris Matthaiou, the National President – Goodwill Ambassador International Ambassador Club, Mr. Kyriakos Maridakis, the President European People’s Party Mr. Andreas Rentzoulas, the Lieutenant General – Deputy Chief of the Fire Brigade – Lawyer Mr. Nikolaos Diamantis, the retired Lieutenant General of the Fire Brigade and Honorary President of the Union of Fire Brigade Officers Mr. Yiannis Stamoulis.
The Event was coordinated by Lieutenant General Efthymios Harokopos
The talks began with the Report of the work of AKA (Athens Calls Athens) 2015-2023, by Dott. Mr. George Psathas, President of ATHENS calls ATHENS (AKA). This was followed by the Summary of the completed 1st and 2nd Conference by the former Deputy Rector of NKUA & President of the Conference, Mr. Antonis Kalokerinos.
The Main Idea of the 3rd upcoming Conference (November 2024) was presented by the Associate Professor – Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences & Education of Harokopio University, Mr. George Boskou, while Lieutenant General Efthymios Harokopos spoke about the transition from the 1st to the 3rd Conference and about AKA in the world (Collaboration with “The Athenian” magazine) spoke the Advisor AKA, Mr. Dimitris Efstathiadis.
This was followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between AKA & AHEPA HELLAS District 25 and the speech of the Governor of AHEPA HELLAS District 25, Mr. Christos Karapiperis.
The event concluded with the Press Conference, the Statements of the guests and a Reception, during which the attendees exchanged ideas and proposals for the achievement of the noble aims of ACA and its institutional partners.
