Sonia Haimada has been a journalist since 1990 and in recent years she has focused on the transition from the analog to the digital world. In fact, in 2016 she was awarded by the Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism with the “George Karagiannis” Journalism and Technology Award for her involvement in the transition from the printed press to the digital press. She is involved in the media, while her theoretical training (Political Science, Journalism, etc.) in Athens (Political Science), Paris (European Law), Strasbourg (translation – interpretation) and Vienna (Quality Journalism – New Technologies) and her involvement with Journalism is inspired by the search for new trends dictated by Technology.
She has been responsible for premium content at the largest digital media company in Greece, DPG (CNN.gr, newsbomb.gr, queen.gr, onmed.gr, onsports.gr, etc.). Two years ago she received a Master’s degree in “Quality Journalism and New Technologies” from the Austrian public university DUK and the “A. V. Botsis Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism”. She is a visiting professor at Greek universities (National Kapodistrian – Department of Media and Communication), University of Economics (Department of Marketing and Communication) etc. Today she is, among others, director of Corporate Affairs of Interactive Advertising Bureau Hellas and scientific coordinator of ESIEA educational programs for the digital transformation of journalists.
