ECI Students at Krems

  |   Greek Campus

Decorated with Christmas, ECI an der Donau welcomed ECI students in the face-to-face classes held at UWK University – Uiversität für Weiterbildung Krems (pr. Donau Universität Krems – DUK), a statutory pillar of the ECI in Austria.

Our students visited the UNESCO-protected Danube region of Vienna during the week from 27 November to 1 December 2023 and attended the English-speaking intensive Module 7, for the CET4 series of ECI Master Programs in Communication and Technology (Directions in Quality Journalism & European Integration).

The interdisciplinary courses attended by the postgraduate students at the Krems Campus focused on the following topics:

The courses are available asynchronously in the ECI Parallel Program and, upon request, to those enrolled in the Institute’s Citizen Literacy initiative.

Apart from the academic part, the students enjoyed its excellent hospitality Unter den Linden, while they had the opportunity to visit the Christmas Market of Krems, which opened on their arrival day, drink Glühwein (mulled sweet wine) and taste hot Goulash soup, to the sounds of famous Christmas songs, creating an overall unforgettable travel experience.

Also, apart from their walk on the snowy banks of the Danube, they had the opportunity to tour the Krems campus consisting of the classical wing, the state-of-the-art bioclimatic new wing and the brand new Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Vienna and the Austrian Capital Region.

With the participation of former alumni – members of ECI Alumni and on the occasion of the warm, welcoming evening curated by the University Senate Mag. Kay Mühlmann, another of the innovations of the European Institute of Communication has been achieved: the creation of strong networks, but also the strengthening of relations between the members of its Community.
