The European Communication Institute (ECI) is the entity formed to succeed the QJNT Synergy and further its goals and academic areas.
It is the outcome of the converging assets of the following Public and Public-Benefit European Institutions.
- Donau Universität Krems (University of Graduate Studies and Research under Austrian Law)
- Athena Research Center (General Secretariat for Research and Technology – Ministry of Education of the Hellenic Republic)
- The Botsis Foundation for Journalism Excellence (public benefit institution aiming to encourage-award good practices in Journalism and further Journalism Quality)
- The Communication and Mass Media Technology Lab, NTUA (National Technical University of Athens).
Starting February 2016 ECI has expanded to welcome / include OPA Europe (On Line Publishers’ Association – Europe) aiming to educate on a Graduate level, international english-speaking journalists in both Lavrion and Vienna campus.
